Adverse reactions to food and food-chemicals can play a role in many common illnesses: Irritable bowel syndrome, migraine and other headaches, fibromyalgia, heartburn/GERD, arthritis, joint & muscle pain, eczema/hives, weight imbalances, autism and ADD.
If any of these are playing a role in your life, then your food could be making you sick. During this session we will discuss the differences between food allergies, food sensitivities and food intolerances and how they affect the above conditions. We will discuss a non-drug, highly effective program that utilizes real food to regain a pain free life and great health.

Disposal=Safety: The importance prescription drug disposal plays in keeping teens in our community safe.
Presented by Kellie Rubbell-Hendrichs, Prevention Manager - Project OZ & Director of Operations - Heartland Coalition for Youth and Families
Thursday, February 18 Noon-1:00 p.m.
Henning Room, Memorial Center
Although teens are turning away from street drugs, there is a new threat - the family medicine cabinet and the abuse of prescription drugs and over-the-counter drugs (OTC). Due to a rise in prescription drug abuse, now, more than ever, it is important to take responsibility for properly disposing of unused, unneeded, or expired prescription drugs. During this session we will discuss the specific dangers of prescription drug abuse and how proper disposal of prescription drugs not only keeps these drugs out of the hands of young people, but benefits our water supply, too. Our discussion will include information on recent collaborations with law enforcement in Bloomington and Normal, Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University to sponsor secure drug disposal boxes. These secure drop off boxes allow community members to drop off and properly dispose of medications, including narcotics and controlled substances, therefore keeping these medications out of the hands of young people and less likely to end up in our water supply. Come learn how Disposal=Safety!
