On Thursday night in Hansen Student Center, Tributaries kicked off its first faculty presentation with a collaborative bang! Dr. Theune, a professor of creative writing here at Illinois Wesleyan (left), and Chip Corwin, professor of composition at Heartland (right), presented some of their latest collaborative work. That work includes 2 line poems, fake letters to the editor, and other hilarious creations. Their presentation was an excellent reminder of the fact that poetry and that creating a poem is not necessarily a solitary process.

The session was open to the entirety of the Wesleyan student body and anyone else who wanted to show up. These sessions offer face to face experiences with the faculty of Illinois Wesleyan in an informal and creative way, allow students a new look at their professors, and in turn their own creative work. Hopefully, this presentation was a first in a long line of amazing, fascinating, and fun sessions to come.

Our sincere thanks once again to both Dr. Theune and Chip Corwin for sharing their fantastic work and for graciously answering questions about said work.
