Welcome to the Funny Bone at IWU!

The Office of Student Activities brings you the best in comedy with the IWU Funny Bone!

This semester's lineup includes:

Dan Ahdoot
Friday, September 2, 2005
8pm
Hansen Student Center

Dan went to college at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University and graduated with honors as a premed student. Shortly thereafter, he decided to take the secure route and ditch medicine for comedy - his parents are still thrilled. He performs regularly at every comedy club in Manhattan, and is a founding member of the highly acclaimed Upright Citizens Brigade based improv troupe, Gun Show.

Dan's standup act is based on his hilarious observations about everyday life as a young, hip kid fresh out of college, coupled with his upbringing as a 1st generation American. His stage-presence blends charm, likeabilty, and wit in a way that keeps crowds in stitches and at the same time, very comfortable.

Dan is a finalist on Season 2 of NBCs Last Comic Standing. He has written freelance for Comedy Central's Crank Yankers and has opened for Lewis Black, Jay Mohr, and Dave Chappelle. He has been featured on ABCs 20/20 and the 98.7 KISS FM Morning Comedy Special. He was awarded 1st prize at the Philadelphia Comedy Competition in 2003, the NYC Triad Comedy Competition in 2002 and was an honorary guest at the exclusive HA! Comedy Festival in Manhattan. Dan has also performed at numerous colleges as well as corporate events all over the country.

Kyle recently performed in New Faces at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and appeared on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" and "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn". He recently has been prominently featured on "Chappelle's Show" and was the host of the Comedy Central special "Straight Plan for the Gay Man". Other credits include: VH1's "I Love the 80s, I Love the 70s, and Best Week Ever". He has also appeared on BET's "Comic View" and the Bob and Tom Radio Show.

IWU first-year student Kevin Lewis will take the stage with his fresh comedy as the opening act.

This is one show you will not want to miss!
