Bring plain water to boil, add tea and remove from heat, stiring tea well
into water. Steep for 5 minutes. Strain out leaves (fine mesh strainer) -
put tea to cool in fridge for several hours. When cold, decant into new
container (leaving sediment in old container) and add syrup.
To serve: fill glass 1/2 full with ice, 3/4 cup tea and 3-4 tablespoons of milk or 1/2 & 1/2. To make stronger, cut back on ice and increase tea. (We usually skip the ice, altogether ==8-) |
