Craig presented his poster on the effects of class year and major on
creativity at the 2008 John Wesley Powell Research Conference.
Lauren presented her poster on our new measure of intuition at the 2008
JWP Research Conference.
The 2006-07 group had brunch
together to celebrate the completion of a successful academic year.
Kathy Sentman gave an oral presentation at the 2007 John Wesley Powell Research
Conference. She also presented her thesis research at the annual meeting of the
Midwestern Psychological Association (MPA) in Chicago in May 2007.
Sarah Flores gave a poster presentation at the 2007 John Wesley Powell

- Melanie Essayans, '09 - Working on her PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Central Michigan University. Melanie's project was called "Understanding creativity in college students: How creativity, experience, and the Openness personality trait interact."
- Allison Heim, '09 - Now pursuing a degree in podiatry. Allison's project examined "The Use of Intuition by Student Nurses and Its Effect on Clinical Competency."
- Craig Landers, '08 - Working on his PhD in Clinical Psychology at the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology in Palo Alto, CA. Craig's project examined "The Effects of Class Year and Major on both Domain-Specific and Domain-General Creativity."
- Lauren Carlson, '08 - Pursuing a specialist degree in School Psychology at Illinois State University beginning in Fall 2008. Lauren's thesis was on the "Validation of a Measure of Affective, Inferential, and Holistic Intuition."
- Kathy Sentman Totz, '07 - Working on her Masters in Information Science at the University of Michigan. Kathy's thesis project was on "The effect of mood and individual differences on implicit learning."
- Sarah Flores, '07 - At Texas A&M University pursuing a PhD in Social Psychology beginning in Fall 2008. Sarah's thesis project was called, "Practical problems and decision making: The effect of strategy and experience."
- Amy Kowalski, '06 - Now at Marquette University in Milwaukee pursuing a master's degree in Counselling. Amy's thesis project was entitled, "Intuition versus analysis -- Which process is most appropriate for solving everyday problems with differing levels of social content and complexity?"
- Emily Eickhorst, '06 - Now at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign pursuing an M.A. in Human Resources/ Industrial Relations. Emily's project was entitled, "Practical problem solving depends on experience and strategy use"
- Matt Hendrickson, '05 - Completed his M.A. in Cognitive and Social Processes at Ball State University. Matt's project was on "The nature of intuition."
