Kim Nelson-Brown

In 2005, Kim Nelson-Brown will begin her 10th season as head coach at  IWU. Her nine-year record is 205-132, good for a winning percentage of .608, with one outright College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championship (1997) and NCAA Division III tournament appearances in 1997 and 1998. The 2003 team won the CCIW's regular season title with a 6-1 mark. In nine seasons, Nelson-Brown's conference ledger is 40-23 (.634). 

Nelson-Brown was a four-year letterwinner at Illinois State University, from 1990-93, and Missouri Valley Conference "Most Valuable Player" in 1992 and 1993. She was elected to the Illinois State University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002. 

A 1994 ISU graduate, Nelson-Brown was the Redbirds' MVP in 1992 and three-time "Most Inspirational Player."  Kim and her husband, Brian, are the parents of a daughter (Tyler, born Aug. 21, 1997) and a son (McCade, born Aug. 15, 2000). Nelson-Brown is also an associate athletic director at IWU.
