- Scott McCluskey became the women's tennis coach at Illinois Wesleyan University prior to the 2004 season, replacing Sally Mangina, who was IWU women's tennis coach since 1999.
McCluskey has 24 years of tennis experience and played four seasons at the varsity level at the University of Northern Colorado (1991 to 1994), helping his team to North Central Conference championships in 1991 and 1992.
He has worked as an assistant tennis coach at the high school level, as an instructor at youth sports camps, and as a guest pro at various resorts in the Caribbean.
He played on the 1992 United States Tennis Association 4.5 state championship team and is a past doubles champion in the local tournaments Metro Open and Twin City Open.
A 1989 graduate of Greeley, Colo., West High School, McCluskey was a two-time Colorado state qualifier (1988, 1989).
McCluskey, who has worked for State Farm Insurance Companies since 1993, lives in Normal with his wife (Mindy) and three children (Henry, Griffin and Molly).
