The Illinois Wesleyan mens basketball team will play a series of five exhibition games in Costa Rica from August 20-26. In San Carlos, IWU will face San Carlos on August 20 and the Costa Rica National Team on August 21. In San Jose, the Titans will meet the Barbados National Team on August 23, Brujas on August 25 and meet the Costa Rica National Team again on August 26 in a game that will celebrate 100 years of basketball in Costa Rica. While in Costa Rica the team members will have a chance to go whitewater rafting, visit the Arenal Volcano, and will visit a local childrens hospital..

In a game that features two schools that were ranked No. 1 in their respective NCAA divisions for a period of time last season, the Illinois Wesleyan mens basketball team will square off against the University of Illinois in an exhibition game on Thurs., Nov. 3, at the Assembly Hall in Champaign. Game time for the contest has not yet been determined and ticket sales will be handled by the University of Illinois. The contest will count as one of IWUs 25 allowable in a regular season by NCAA Division III regulations, but will not count toward the Titans won-loss record. Division I Illinois is allowed two such exhibition games on their schedule.
