Five Titans Earn All-CCIW Soccer Honors16 November 2004 BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Four Illinois Wesleyan University womens soccer players and one man were chosen to the 2004 all-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin squads in voting by league coaches in Wheaton. For the women, junior forwards Katie Kelly and Mary Karson and senior midfielder Marisa Johnson were chosen to the first team, while sophomore midfielder Lyndsay OBrien was named to the second team. For the men, senior defenseman Alan Mila was a first team selection for the fourth straight year. Women's Soccer Kelly, a forward from Wheaton (Wheaton Warrenville South HS), was chosen to the first team for the third straight year. She was second in the CCIW in scoring with 13 points and tied for third with five goals and with three assists. She was the CCIW Player of the Week twice this fall. Johnson (Wayne, St. Charles East HS), a first team all-CCIW player in 2001 and 2002 and a second team selection last year, had four goals and two assists and was sixth in the league with 10 points. She was the leagues Player of the Week once this fall. Karson, a midfielder from St. Charles (HS), was a first team all-CCIW player as a freshman and second team last year. She scored one goal against league opponents this fall. OBrien (Peoria, Notre DameHS) was a second team all-league selection last season. This fall she scored two goals with five assists and was ninth in the CCIW with nine points. She was second in the league in assists. Men's Soccer Mila (Bartlett, Wheaton Academy) capped his career recognized throughout the league as one of the top defensive players in the CCIW. He notched an assist this season.
