IWU's Clark Named CCIW "Player of Week"

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Mike Clark of Illinois Wesleyan University has been chosen "Defensive Player of the Week" for College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin football.

Clark, a junior linebacker from Joliet (West HS), led IWU to a 22-20 win over Millikin on Saturday, Nov. 10. In the game he had five solo tackles and assisted on four more, including one for a two-yard loss.

He also intercepted a pass and returned it 70 yards for a touchdown as well as knocking down another pass.

The Titans finished their season with a 7-2 overall mark and were 6-1 in the CCIW, sharing the league championship with Augustana. It is IWU's first back-to-back conference championships since 1964-65.
