Men's soccer posts winSophomore Chris Bobowski had the first two goals of his college career as he scored both of Illinois Wesleyan's goals in a 2-1 men's soccer victory over North Central at Naperville.
Bobowski had an unassisted goal in the first half, then snapped a 1-all tie with 20 minutes remaining in the second half off assists from Chris Wirsing and Josh Shipley.
The Titans (8-7-1, 2-2) had seven shots on goal to four for North Central.
"It was kind of a different style than we're used to," head coach Steve Berry said. "We played a team that was a lot more physical than us and played the ball in the air a lot more. We had to adjust. Our goalkeeper (Andrew Christman) came up real big at the end with some key saves."
