Women's soccer sets record

Lauren Boegen had two goals to lead Illinois Wesleyan's women's soccer team to a 5-1 victory over North Central at Naperville, setting a school record for wins in a season.
The Titans improved to 13-4 overall and 3-2 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.
April App, L.J. Hachmeister and Elanor Flanagin also scored goals for IWU. Assists went to Jill Denoma, Ann Bernard, Julie Brooks, Vanessa Puma, Christine Reed and Hachmeister.
IWU, which led 3-0 at halftime, had 20 shots on goal to three for North Central.
"We scored three goals in the first 15 minutes so we set the standard right away," IWU coach Steve Berry said. "We really wanted to set the school record for wins and we still have three to play."
