Sophomore Ann Bernard broke a 2-2 tie with a goal
in the 61st minute and also had three assists as Illinois Wesleyan's women's
soccer team downed Aurora University, 4-2, Thursday.
Bernard scored on an assist from Chirstine Reed to put
IWU ahead 3-2. April App added a goal three minutes later off an assist
from Bernard.
Alissa Hunt and L.J. Hachmeister also scored goals for
the Titans (6-0). Aurora fell to 3-3-1.
The IWU men built a 3-0 halftime lead and cruised to a
5-0 win over Aurora (1-6-1). The game was shortened to 77 minutes because
of lightning.
The Titans (3-1-2) received two goals from David Munz
and one each from Chris Bobowski, Larry Kociolek and Clay Scott.
Aurora dropped to 1-6-1.
