Four Titans Earn NGCA All-American Scholar Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Four Illinois Wesleyan women’s golfers were among 61 Division III student-athletes to be selected to the 2003-04 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.
The golfers, with academic majors, are sophomore Andrea Johanns (Farmer City, Blue Ridge HS), business administration; sophomore Alison Mayer (Glenview, Glenbrook South HS), history/secondary education; graduated senior Stephanie Morton (Elgin, Larkin HS), business administration/art; and junior Megan Teschner (Barrington HS), mathematics education/coaching.
A total of 318 women’s collegiate golfers from NCAA Divisions I, II and III were recognized with the honor. The criteria for selection requires a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 (3.4 for seniors in Division II and III) and student-athletes must have competed in at least 66 per cent of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
