15 June 2004

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan wide receiver Eric White has been selected to the Division III All-American team chosen by Street & Smith’s 2004 National College Football Magazine, available on newsstands currently.

A 6-foot-3, 205-pound senior from Antioch, Ill. (HS), White set an IWU season record with 1,215 receiving yards. He finished with 74 catches and 14 touchdowns in 2003 and, after three seasons, he ranks third in touchdowns (28) and fourth in scoring (170) in school history.

In 2003, White was named to the third team of the NCAA Division III All-American football teams chosen by Don Hansen’s Football Gazette and the 26th annual team selected by the Division III College Sports Information Directors (formerly the Hewlett-Packard team). He was Illinois Wesleyan’s “Most Valuable Offensive Player” and a first team all-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin honoree.

With his senior season ahead, White is third in career receptions (171) and receiving yards (2,591) and second in receiving touchdowns (28) at IWU. In all categories, the Illinois Wesleyan leader is Chris Bisaillon, who amassed 3,798 yards and 56 receiving touchdowns on 230 catches from 1989-92.
