IWU's Morton to Play in Division III National Golf Tourney

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan senior Stephanie Morton (Elgin, Larkin HS) will play as one of 10 individuals in the 2004 NCAA Division III women's golf championships, which will be held May 11-14 at The Golf Courses of Lawsonia in Green Lake, Wisconsin.

The championships, with team and individual competition conducted concurrently, consist of 72 holes of play over four days.

Morton, who was the 2003 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin tournament medalist, played in the Division III championships in 2002 as a member of the IWU team and shot a 371 total over the four rounds at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass. Her average for 18 rounds in 2003-04 is 83.1 and she shot her low score of 74 on two occasions, including the final round of the CCIW championship.
