Kim Walker of North Park, Tricia McAfee of Millikin and Kelly Murray of Illinois Wesleyan share CCIW "Player of the Week" honors

ISLAND, Illinois -Three players shared the "Player of
the Week" for softball in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin
for the action ending April 21. Kim Walker of North Park, Tricia McAfee
of Millikin and Kelly Murray of Illinois Wesleyan are the recipients
of this week's honor.
Murray was 3-0 as a pitcher with wins over Wheaton, North Central
and Carthage as she scattered five runs over 22 innings. She struck out
14 and posted an ERA of 1.59. She also went six for 15 from the plate (.400)
with eight RBI and two home runs.
Walker went 3-1 as a pitcher with a 1.69 earned run average in six
appearances while working 32 innings last week. She struck out 12 and walked
just two. At the plate she batted .381 with eight hits in 21 at-bats for
a .381 average. She scored two runs and had two doubles and 10 RBI. McAfee
hit two home runs as Millikin swept Augustana on Friday, April 19 in Rock
Island. Her second home run was a grand slam and it ended the 9-1 Big Blue
victory. She had five RBI and two runs scored in the game.
