Titans’ Hunt Earns Weekly League Honor

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan freshman Jeremy Hunt has been named "Player of the Week" for College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin baseball.

Hunt, a centerfielder from Champaign (Centennial HS), helped the Titans to six straight wins as he was 12-for-20 (.600) with 10 runs batted in and 12 runs scored. He had two doubles, a triple, and five walks.

Hunt’s batting average in his first 17 college games moved to .545 with team highs of 30 hits and 25 runs. With 13 walks, Hunt's on-base percentage is .632 and his slugging percentage is .836.

IWU, now 10-6-1 overall, hosts Wabash in a noon doubleheader Tuesday (March 28) and opens its CCIW season with a doubleheader at North Central on Saturday (April 1) and a home game vs. North Central at noon Sunday.
