BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan sophomore Keelan Amelianovich has been named to the first team of the D3hoops.com all-Midwest region team and teammate Adam Dauksas earned second team honors.

Players for the D3hoops.com honors were nominated for these awards by the sports information directors at the various schools and all SIDs in the region were given the opportunity to vote.

Amelianovich, a 6-foot-6 forward from Naperville (Neuqua Valley HS), who was "Most Outstanding Player" in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and a first team all-CCIW selection, averaged a team-high 17.9 points per game in leading IWU to a 21-7 season.

Amelianovich was the Titans' leading scorer in 18 games and top rebounder in seven. He connected on a school record 82 3-point field goals and, through games of March 14, he was second in the nation with a .506 3-point shooting percentage (82-of-162).

Amelianovich's 502 points this winter is 22nd most in an IWU season and he ranks 14th all-time at the school with 88 3-pointers.

Dauksas, a 6-foot-3 sophomore guard from Flossmoor (Homewood-Flossmoor HS), was a second team all-CCIW selection. He is 28th in the latest Division III statistics with 5.4 assists per game and his 150 assists this year is third most in an IWU season. He has 235 career helpers, which is 14th all-time at IWU, and handed out a school-record 14 vs. Benedictine in a game earlier this year.

Dauksas averaged 13.8 points per game this season and his 90 career 3-pointers is No. 13 in school history.

The Titans bowed out of the NCAA Division III tournament in the sectional round of 16 last weekend.
