Titans' Uphoff Named to Third Team All-Conference Squad

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan University sophomore Cindy Uphoff has been selected to the third team of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin women's basketball all-star squad in voting by league coaches Tuesday in Wheaton.

Uphoff, a 6-foot center from El Paso (HS), was 15th in the league with an 11.3 scoring average and fourth in the CCIW with 7.7 rebounds per game. She was second in the league in field goal percentage with a mark of .614 (62 of 101) after leading the league as a freshman.

Senior guard Jennifer Falbe of league champion Millikin was chosen "Most Outstanding Player" and the Big Blue's Lori Kerans was named "Coach of the Year."

IWU junior guard Kristen Conley (Cerro Gordo HS) led the CCIW in 3-point field goal shooting with a .426 mark (23 of 54) and junior Melissa Glerum (Champaign, Centennial HS) was fifth in 3-point field goal shooting (.328). Freshman Katie Cantrell (Bloomington, Normal Community HS) was IWU's top scorer in 14 league games with a 12.1 average, tied for ninth in the CCIW, while Conley was 16th at 11.0 points per game.

As a team, IWU was fourth in both field goal percentage (.386), free throw accuracy (.668), and scoring offense (59.9 points), and were fifth in 3-point shooting (.308) and sixth in scoring defense (62.6 points allowed).
