BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University junior Keelan Amelianovich has been elected to the first team of the District Five College Division all-academic mens basketball squad and will join representatives of seven other districts on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America national ballot.

To be considered for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America squads, players must be of at least sophomore standing, have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 (of 4.0), and be a starter or first-line reserve.
Other members of the first team all-district squad are Doug Espenson of Gustavus Adolphus (3.49, economics); Auroras Adam McCoy (3.71, biology); Wheaton guard Jon Nielson (3.82, English); and Jeff VerSteeg of Northwestern (Minn.) (3.85, management, information systems). All first team members except Amelianovich are seniors.
