IWU's Elisa Ettner Named CCIW "Player of Week"

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan’s Elisa Ettner has been selected as the "Player of the Week" in women's basketball for the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.

Ettner, a sophomore guard from Marengo (HS), scored a career-high 23 points and handed out five assists while playing 22 minutes in a 71-56 victory at Augustana on Feb. 7.

Ettner then scored 13 points and snared eight rebounds in 23 minutes of action in IWU's 81-64 road win over Carthage on Feb. 10.

For the week, Ettner was eight-for-15 from the field, was four-of-six from 3-point range, and connected on 16 of 19 free throw tries.

The Titans have won six straight games and have bettered their overall record to 12-9 and their CCIW mark to 7-3. IWU plays at league-leading Millikin tonight (Feb. 13) at 7:30 p.m. and has their final home game of the year against Carthage on Saturday (Feb. 17) at 2 p.m.
