ROCK ISLAND, Illinois - Matt Kolodica and D.J. Hessenthaler of Carthage and Blair Silliman of Illinois Wesleyan have been selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin "Swimmers of the Week" for the week ending February 2. The CCIW selects a "Swimmer of the Week" by a vote of the league coaches each week during the season.

MEN: Kolodica, of Chelsea, Michigan, won the 100 and 200 breaststroke events during the Redmen's one point victory over the University of Chicago. Kolodica had personal bests in both events and added a second place in the 400 individual medley with a lifetime best. Hessenthaler, from Delavan, Wisconsin, placed second in the 100 backstroke and anchored a second place 200 freestyle relay with a lifetime best split. Both seniors were members of the winning 200 medley relay.

WOMEN: Silliman, a junior from Barrington, Illinois, won the 200 individual medley in a personal best time of 2:27.27 in a dual meet against Augustana on Friday, January 25. She was second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:25.89.
