Event: Illinois Wesleyan School of Music presents: Chamber Singers, A Touch of Class, and Suspended

Background: Illinois Wesleyan University’s Chamber Singers will present their annual fall concert with the addition of Illinois Wesleyan’s women’s vocal group, A Touch of Class, and men’s vocal group, Suspended. The concert is under the direction of J. Scott Ferguson, associate professor of music and director of choral activities at IWU.

Lauren Eigenbrode, a soprano from Piedmont, Calif.; Sarah Huffman, a soprano from Elgin, Ill.; and Eugenia Siegel, an alto from Percellville, Va., will open the concert with a performance of 13th century French pastourelle motets. All three women are music majors at Illinois Wesleyan and members of Chamber Singers. Introducing the trio will be Christopher Callahan, professor of French and Spanish.
