Rosh Hashanah is commonly known as the Jewish New Year. It is a day of introspection for people to look back at mistakes of the past year and plan changes for the next. The most important observance of Rosh Hashanah is the blowing of the shofar, a ram’s horn blown like a trumpet to call for repentence.
