- Due Monday, Nov. 16: Please submit a topic for your final project. If you have trouble finding a topic, please see me in my office hours. The final paper will be due at the final exam time (according to my records: Dec. 8 at 3:30).
- Due Wednesday, Nov. 11: Exercise 2.1 and 2.2.1-2.2.3.
- Due Friday, Oct. 23: adapt the Eliza program to converse on other topics.
- Due Friday, Sept. 25 (Take-home exam 1): Write 4-6 page paper on computationalism in the philosophy of mind. The paper needs to be a position paper, i.e. you need to state and defend a thesis using arguments.
- Due Wednesday, Sept. 16: Write a 1-2 page summary of an argument for or against one of the positions in the philosophy of mind that we discussed and assess its soundness.
