Dr. Carolyn Nadeau has been teaching
Spanish courses at Illinois Wesleyan University since 1994 after receiving
her Ph.D. form Penn State. In addition to courses in Spanish language,
literature, and culture, she has taught Literature in Translation, off-campus
studies in London, and in the Humanities sequence. One of her most memorable
teaching experiences was the travel course, Spanish 314a, The Golden Age
of Spain, for which she and 16 students spent three exciting weeks in Madrid
and surrounding cities, Granada, and Soria, learning about this fascinating
moment in Spanish history and its effect on culture today.
