Kirsten Andersen, OH, Fr., Princeton, Ill. (HS)

Outside hitter…High School: Earned two letters in volleyball and four in soccer (as a goalkeeper)…First team all-NCIC Southwest Conference selection as a senior in volleyball…Named Bureau County Republican “Soccer Player of the Year” in 2007 and 2008…Majoring in acting/theatre at IWU…Daughter of Mary Kramer and Curt Anderson.

Katelyn Demonbreun, RS, Fr., Manteno, Ill. (HS)

Right side hitter…High School: Earned two volleyball letters and four more in track…Two-time track team “Most Valuable Player” and chosen as squad’s “Most Dedicated Athlete”…Salutatorian of high school class…All-state academic team and winner of Kankakee Daily Journal scholar-athete honor…Majoring in nursing at IWU…Daughter of Randy and Jill Demonbreun.

Emily Hagen, MH, Jr., Burr Ridge, Ill. (Nazareth Academy)

Has earned one letter…Middle hitter…2008: Chosen to all-tournament team at IWU/Barker Cadillac Fall Classic...Named to all-tournament team at Birmingham (Ala.) Southern Comfort Inn Collonade Challenge...2007: Played 131 games where she tallied 362 kills…Also added 117 blocks and 43 digs for the Titans… Winner of “Most Improved Player” honor…2006: Had three blocks and one dig in three games…Saw playing time at the junior varsity level…High School: Earned four letters in volleyball and track for the Roadrunners…All-East Suburban Catholic Conference selection and all-state in track senior year…Winner of “Roadrunner” award (track) and school’s “Female Athlete of the Year” honor as a senior…Nursing major at Illinois Wesleyan…Has also lettered as a high jumper at IWU…Parents are James and Colleen Hagen.

Setter…2008: Named CCIW player of the week on Sept. 30...High School: Earned four letters as setter and was team captain as a senior…Was also captain for two seasons at Concordia International School in China…Named academic all-state in Indiana in 2007…Majoring in chemistry at IWU…Daughter of Tim and Tonia Hassinger.

Gaby Johnson , OH, Fr., Knoxville, Iowa (Chariton HS)

Outside hitter…Transfer from Boston College…2008: Named to all-tournament team for Nike/Impact Sports Tournament (Wis.-Platteville)...High School: Earned four letters in volleyball and four in track (high jumps and running)…Three-year all-conference selection in volleyball and four year all-district in track and volleyball…Team captain for both sports…Participated in Drake Relays in track as hih schooler…Majoring in international studies at IWU…Daughter of Dan and Roxanne Johnson.

Lori Johnson, MH , So., Bloomington, Ill. (Normal Community HS)
