An employee may participate in Wellness activities that are scheduled during the workday through the Release Time Program.
The program allows an employee to use a maximum of one (1) hour of University-paid time per week for participation in specific Wellness activity programs if he/she matches this time with at least one hour of his/her own unpaid time. An employee’s use of release time must be approved by his/her supervisor and confirmed by a “contract” which may be obtained by clicking the link below. Attendance is taken at Wellness Activities and attendance lists are made available to supervisors upon request.
