Hansen Student Center — First Look Preview II — Designed especially for students and families who are just getting to know IWU, this is a fantastic overview of the IWU experience. Associate Professor of Nursing Brenda Knoll '89 has published three more peer-reviewed studies in 2022-2023 on her Premature Infant Oral Motor Intervention (PIOMI) with colleagues in Iran and India, expanding her research on the positive effects of PIOMI on breastfeeding, on mothers involvement, and verifying the benefits of longer therapy for older infants. Knoll will present PIOMI as "PREhab not REhab" in September on a panel of preterm infant feeding experts at the 29th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Dysphagia Rehabilitation.

Summer Camps

The summer camp and conference season is winding down, with the remaining groups here until no later than Aug. 3. Upcoming groups include a football camp, an academic bowl camp and a youth retreat. Facilities used include residence halls, Memorial Center, Hansen Center, Presser Hall, Center for Natural Sciences and State Farm Hall. Conference Services thanks you for your support all this summer and the warm Titan welcome you’ve given our groups each week!

Joyce Murray, mother of Associate Vice President for Advancement Strategy Bob Murray '82; former Assistant Football Coach Mike Murray '84; Pre-Health and Biology Career Advisor Michele Darnell '88; and Senior Director for Advancement Chris Murray '91, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023. An obituary and service information is forthcoming.
