Record-Breaking $2.6 Million Raised During 10th Annual All In for Wesleyan

The Titan spirit of giving was at an all-time high on Tuesday as a record-breaking 4,437 donors collectively raised $2,614,921 — the highest total in the history of All In for Wesleyan.

11 a.m., Westbrook Auditorium, Presser Hall — Kemp Foundation's Teaching Excellence Award Ceremony — Wendell and Loretta Hess Endowed Professor of Chemistry, Chair of Chemistry, and the 2023 recipient of the Kemp Foundation Award for Teaching Excellence Ram Mohan will give the keynote address titled "Life Lessons from Adventures in a Research Lab." All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend.

 

4-6 p.m., Joslin Atrium, Memorial Center — Kemp Awards Reception — Faculty and staff are invited to greet the winners of the Kemp Foundation's Teaching Excellence Award.

 

4 p.m., Office of Multifaith Engagement, lower level of Evelyn Chapel — ReligiosiTEA — The Office of Multifaith Engagement supports the diversity of worldviews present at Illinois Wesleyan – religious, spiritual, and secular. We seek to provide a venue for asking meaningful questions – including questions about who we are and what we are for. All are invited to our weekly gatherings to meet our Multifaith Ambassadors and enjoy refreshments provided.

Director of Conference Services Michelle Wu was named president of the board of directors for the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors-International.

 

The Illinois Supreme Court appointed Deidre M. Dyer '96 as an At-Large Cook County Circuit Judge.

 

Amanda ReCupido '07 wrote and produced the musical parody Sex and the Windy City, which was staged at Chicago’s iO Theater and came in second in the “Best Musical” category in Chicago Reader’s “Best of Chicago Awards.”

 

Robert Harrington Endowed Professor of English and Chair of English Michael Theune joined Amanda Cardenas '08 on her podcast titled Brave New Teaching for an episode about poetry and creative writing.

Wellness Corner

  • Yoga takes place on Mondays and Thursdays in the Niepagen South Classroom, Shirk Center, with Rhendy Bradshaw from 12:15 - 12:55 p.m.
  • Personal Fitness takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays on the east end of the Shirk Center track with Grace Redman from 12:15 - 12:45 p.m.

Reminder about 2022 Flexible Spending Account Submission Deadline

 

If you still have a balance in your 2022 Flexible Spending account, please note the upcoming deadline.

 

  • April 30, 2023 - Deadline for BPC to receive your requests for reimbursement

 

You can verify your balance by logging on to your account at www.bpcinc.com or by contacting BPC at 1-800-355-2350. 

 

All Flex reimbursement requests should be submitted directly to BPC. Requests can be submitted by mail, fax, on-line through the BPC website or by using the BPC phone app. The BPC reimbursement form can be found on the HR website.
