Effective July 1, Bryan C. McCannon '98 will be the director of Illinois Wesleyan University’s newly formed School of Business and Economics, a program he said stands out among other business schools in the country due to the commitment toward a well-rounded, liberal arts education. | |

Through April 8, Merwin and Wakeley Galleries, Joyce Eichhorn Ames School of Art and Design Building — 36th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition and BFA/BA Exhibitions — All aspects of the IWU art program will be represented: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture and glass. This year's exhibition was juried by Santiago Cal, a sculptor from Lincoln, Nebraska. In the Senior Art Exhibit, graduating BFA/BAs will display their finest works produced during their senior year. 4 p.m., Office of Multifaith Engagement, lower level of Evelyn Chapel — ReligiosiTEA — The Office of Multifaith Engagement supports the diversity of worldviews present at Illinois Wesleyan – religious, spiritual, and secular. We seek to provide a venue for asking meaningful questions – including questions about who we are and what we are for. All are invited to our weekly gatherings to meet our Multifaith Ambassadors and enjoy refreshments provided.
6 p.m., Henning Room, Memorial Center — DIY Dog Toys — Students are invited to learn how to make dog toys out of old, unwanted T-shirts. Menah Pratt-Clarke, a founding member of the Pratt Music Foundation which provides scholarships for lessons at Illinois Wesleyan University's Music Preparatory Program, was honored as one of the top 50 women leaders of Virginia for 2023. She is vice president of strategic affairs and diversity and full professor of education at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. | |

George Churukian, who directed Illinois Wesleyan's teacher education department from 1976 to 1993, passed away on Monday, March 20. His obituary may be viewed here.
