Illinois Wesleyan University will honor the legacy of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. with a series of events beginning today, Jan. 16. 

Affordable Housing Advocate to Give Founders’ Day Address

An Illinois Wesleyan University alumnus with experience designing and implementing affordable housing programs in the Chicago area will deliver the keynote address during the 2023 Founders’ Day Convocation.

Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball senior forward Cody Mitchell '23 was recognized as part of the Bevo Francis Top-100 Watch List announced by Small College Basketball and the National Awards Committee Sunday, Jan. 15. Mitchell is one of five College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin student-athletes named to the watch list.

Charlene Aaron '94 was named president for Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria and Saint Anthony College of Nursing in Rockford beginning July 5. 

 

Effective Tuesday, Jan. 17, B. Charles and Joyce Eichhorn Ames Professor of Physics Gabriel Spalding will begin his term as vice president for the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT).

Glenn J. Swichtenberg, retired dean of student affairs at Illinois Wesleyan University, passed away on Jan. 9, 2023. He worked at IWU from 1975 to 1996. His obituary may be viewed here.
