Cristen coordinates all recruiting and prospective students auditioning for The School of Theatre Arts (SoTA) at Illinois Wesleyan University. She is also an Instructor of Theatre at Illinois State University, Bradley University and is the director of On Stage-Theatre for Youth and the Summer On Stage program at IWU. She has been an educator for over twenty years teaching in Texas, New York, Maryland and Illinois. Cristen has sponsored and hosted SoTA Shoppe, IWU's cabaret boot-camp annually since 2007. Before taking over a the Recruiting Coordinator, Cristen was the Education Outreach Coordinator for the Illinois Shakespeare Festival and director of their summer camp programs. Recently she directed the first ISF Intercity High School Shakespeare program, A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Bloomington credits include: Two Gentleman of Verona and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Illinois State University; End of the Tour and Time Stands Still at Heartland Theatre Company, A Little Night Music and I'll Be Seeing You with Prairie Fireside Theatre and Urinetown at Players.
She has two children, Elijah and Eden.
