Justin Stanek is beginning his first year as an assistant athletic trainer at Illinois Wesleyan University. He currently serves as an instructional assistant professor in the athletic training education program at Illinois State University, while also finishing up the requirements for the doctoral degree program in Curriculum & Instruction. He earned his master’s degree in athletic training from Illinois State University in 2006 and his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Coe College (Cedar Rapids, IA) in 2004. 

In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys training for, and running, marathons and other road races.
