| Why Wesleyan? | Of all the schools I visited, it had great general appeal and offered Japanese (the latter being a major requirement for the college I would attend). |

| Favorite professor or class? | Modern Japan with Prof. Lutze |
| After Wesleyan? | I would really like to return to Japan and teach English with the JET program. |
| Biggest thrill? | Spending a semester in Japan (the whole thing was a thrill). |
| For fun? | I play badminton recreationally and I enjoy bowling on occasion. I also spend time just chatting with international students on Friday nights. |
| The best? | Arrested Development is by far the most intelligent and hilarious comedy I have ever seen. |
| Favorite book? | I really love the book of James in the New Testament. It's full of some very useful and inspiring principles for practical life application and I try to draw from them as much as I can. |
| Favorite movie? | The Last Samurai. It's actually what got me interested in Japan in the first place. |
| Favorite band? | Probably the Black Mages. They re-make songs from the video game series “Final Fantasy” into rock songs and they do a very good job of it, too. |
