I got my Ph.D. at the University of California, Los Angeles, and did postdoctoral work in the Psychology Department at UCLA.
My general area of expertise is child clinical psychology. I focus on complex trauma in children and adolescents, child and family therapy, and program management. My current research interests concern understanding and treating complex trauma and program evaluation.
At IWU I teach Abnormal Psychology, General Psychology, and a seminar on child/adolescent trauma.
I work as Clinical Director at The Baby Fold in Normal and I am also a national speaker on child/adolescent trauma for Cross Country Education. I also enjoy designing and playing games, and have several published games (but none famous enough that you would have heard of them!).
