Provost and Dean of the FacultyJonathan Green Jonathan Green joined Illinois Wesleyan as Provost and Dean of the Faculty on Aug. 1, 2011. He is the chief academic officer of the University, overseeing all academic departments in addition to The Ames Library, Athletics, and Information Technology. In addition to his administrative appointment, Dr. Green is a professor of music. Dr. Green came to Illinois Wesleyan from Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Va., where he joined the faculty in 1996 and served as dean of the college and vice president for academic affairs since 2004. Dr. Green earned his doctorate in musical arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, his master's degree from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, and his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia. | ![]() |

Associate Provost for Academic Planning and StandardsFrank Boyd Frank Boyd served the University as interim provost from 2010-11. Prior to his appointment as associate provost, he served as associate dean of faculty and director of general education. Responsibilities of the Associate Provost for Academic Planning and Standards encompass student academic affairs, including honors and research; academic facilities and equipment; the faculty salary budget and hiring of part-time adjuncts and full-time visiting faculty. Before joining Illinois Wesleyan's political science faculty in 1995, Dr. Boyd taught at Olgethorpe University (Atlanta) and Georgia State University, and assisted the Carter Center in monitoring elections in Latin America. | ![]() |

Associate Dean of CurriculumZahia Drici The Associate Dean of Curriculum provides leadership in strengthening all curricular programs, and coordinates the General Education Program, May Term, off-campus programs, the International Office, the Writing Center and Writing Program, and interdisciplinary programs. Dr. Drici is a professor of mathematics who came to Illinois Wesleyan in 1995. A native of Algeria, she has advanced degrees in mathematics, electrical engineering and applied physics. She has published extensive scholarly work in the field of nonlinear analysis. | ![]() |

Associate Dean of FacultyIrv Epstein The Associate Dean of Faculty, together with the Associate Dean of Curriculum, coordinates activities of the Andrew W. Mellon Center for Faculty and Curriculum Development. The Associate Dean of Faculty is responsible for administering travel and internal grants involving scholarly activity and curricular development, external grants, and faculty leaves. Dr. Epstein joined the faculty in 1996 and is a tenured professor in Educational Studies. He has strong interests in educational policy, comparative and international education, and children's rights issues, on which he has edited recent books. He has taught in Los Angeles, Perth, Australia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. | ![]() |
