Adjunct Associate Professor of Physics
Assistant Director of Sponsored Programs and Foundation Relations
B.S., Lock Haven University, Ph.D., Kent State University

Dr. Wolfe’s training is in theoretical and computational physics.  In addition to the formal degrees, Dr. Wolfe has held two Postdoctoral positions; one in the theoretical and computational study of heavy-ion interactions (Kent State) and the other in theoretical and computational studies of biological condensed matter systems (University of Minnesota – Hormel Institute).  Before arriving at Illinois Wesleyan University, Dr. Wolfe taught at Kent State as a non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Physics and at Lycoming College as a tenured Associate Professor and Chair.  Dr. Wolfe has also worked as a System Analyst for the Academic Computer Center at Gettysburg College, the Co-op Engineering Liaison Officer at Lycoming College and has served as President of the American Association of Physics Teachers -- Central Pennsylvania Section. As an active scientist, Dr. Wolfe has also served as a Journal Referee for professional publications like Physical Review E, Biochimica et Biophysica Acta, and Journal of Colloid and Interface Science.  Dr. Wolfe’s current research interests include theoretical, computational and experimental studies of systems composed of soft condensed matter.
