After the first year, housing options expand. Students may choose a traditional residence hall experience, such as those provided in Pfeiffer, Magill or Martin. Suite housing options are available in Dodds or Harriett. And Kemp and Blackstock involve students in themes such as international or fine arts/theater interest. The IWU Residence Hall Association serves as the voice of students in residence halls, providing programming and support, advocating for change, and developing leaders. Upper-division students generally fill critical executive board positions within RHA.
As students approach the sophomore, junior and senior year, they make choices about preferred roommates and spaces, ultimately choosing the specific room and roommate they will occupy. Details regarding room and roommate selection are online, as is the selection process.
Understand what it means to live in our community, including our community expectations , and the rules and policies that make campus living safe and comfortable .
Students may alternately choose a more independent apartment-style residential living option, such as the Gates at Wesleyan or East Street Apartments. Apartment residents are eligible for the Block 75 commuter meal plan.
