FAQ About Applying to Be a TOL

Can I be in a fraternity or sorority and still be a TOL?

YES!  In fact, many of our TOLs are members of fraternities or sororities.  However, if you are the Recruitment Officer for your chapter and will have heavy time demands during Turning Titan  week (i.e. ‘work week’) you will probably not have the time to serve as a TOL due to time conflicts.

Can I be a RA and a TOL at the same time?

YES!  Having training as a RA can be a great asset when working with Titan orientation groups.  If you are planning on being a FYRA, you will want to bring this up during your interview so time conflicts can be assessed at that time.

Can I be a TOL if I will be a sophomore in the Fall?

Currently, only students that are going to be Juniors or Seniors in the fall of Turning Titan are eligible to be selected as TOLs. We are so glad that you are already interested though!  Keep the program in mind and apply for your junior year.

Can I be a TOL if I am studying abroad?

If you are studying abroad during the application process we will be happy to work with you over email and IM to get your application materials processed.

If you are studying abroad during the Spring semester of your TOL term or if you are planning on being off campus during the Fall semester and will be missing Turning Titan, you are not eligible to be a TOL.
