Major: Theatre Arts
Liz attended Quincy Senior High School in Quincy, IL bevore choosing to attend Illinois Wesleyan. Her dad, older sister and older brother all attended IWU. Because this is where her dad went to school, Liz has been visiting IWU since she was a baby. So when it came time to choose a college, choosing IWU was like choosing to come home for her. Liz works at the Hansen Student Center on the Student Crew. If you come to any event that happens at Hansen, chances are that you'll see Liz and a few other students in the back wearing black t-shirts, running the sound, lights and whatever else needs to be run for the event.
Being a Theatre major takes up a lot of time for Liz, and so does working at Hansen, but the rest of her time gets taken up by being a member of the sorority Sigma Kappa. Being a part of SK gets her involved with so many other wonderful opportunities, like volunteering at Sugar Creek Retirement Home, playing with the cats and dogs at CISAR, and cleaning up IWU's campus.
In her free time, Liz loves watching all kinds of weird TV shows, going to Fusion Brew and Noodles & Co. with friends, and taking naps between classes. Her favorite memory by far of Turning Titan is going to see the hypnotist at Hansen. Other favorite memories of hers are getting to know the girls on her floor (some of whom she is still very close with), exploring campus, and playing games with my TOL group.
Liz's advice for new students:
Throw out preconceived notions of college, because IWU will completely blow your mind.
