Kevin is from Niles, IL, where he graduated from Maine South High School. He chose IWU because it felt the most like home to him. In addition, everyone was very welcoming and friendly to me in comparison to the other schools he visited. Kevin currently works at Alexian Brothers Behavorial Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates as an administrative assistant. Furthermore, he recently became an assistant manager at the pool for the park district where he previously worked as a lifeguard. Kevin works as a TA for Human Biology and conducts a Senior Thesis with one of the Psychology professors. He is a member of both the cross country and track teams here at Illinois Wesleyan. In his free time, Kevin likes spending time with his friends, playing street hockey, playing ice hockey, running, and swimming. His favorite memory of Turning Titan Orientation is the carnival that was held in the Hansen Student Center. It helped him become more comfortable with IWU and the students here. Kevin remembers making many friends that night.
Kevin's advice for new students:
The best piece of advice that I wish I had received was to never get frustrated with the amount of work you have to do. It will get done. You should also make time for your friends and activities that you will never be able to do when you graduate college. In other words, stay on top of your studies, but cherish being a college student at the same time.
