Major: Economics

Josh grew up in Peru! Not the country, but Peru, IL, where he attended Saint Bede Academy. All four of his sisters went to Illinois Wesleyan and loved it. When he visited IWU after looking at many other colleges, he knew it was the school for him. He found the atmosphere, people and classroom settings all to be very friendly and relatable. During the summer, Josh works outside for his hometown's recreation department taking care of the grounds in Peru's city, airport, and parks. At school, he works for the Dean of Students Office.

Josh involves himself in many intramural sports on campus, as well as various activities and groups that help the campus and the Bloomington/Normal communities. In his free time, he likes to work out, play basketball, and stay in shape. Josh loves video games, playing the guitar, studying on the Quad, watching movies, playing pool and ping pong. Thinking back to his Turning Titan Orientation, he liked taking part in a giant rock paper scissors match on the quad because it was a good way to meet new people and break out from the normal meetings.

Josh's advice for new students:
Don't worry; talk to everyone. Some people may not be your type, but that is completely okay. Meet as many people as you can, be nice to everyone, and I guarantee you will meet a "life-long friend." Sounds cheesy, but it's the truth.
