Jazmyn came to Illinois Wesleyan from Thomas Jefferson High School in Bloomington, MN. She says IWU is all about the Midwest Smile and loves that people here care and are so incredibly friendly! Jazmyn works part time at the GAP and on campus. During the summer, she interned with State Farm in their Marketing Communications department.
Jazmyn is currently involved on campus with the Panhellenic Council, Titan Ambassadors, and a sorority, but in the past, she has also been involved with the Touch of Class a capella group, the Grade School Achievement Program, Alpha Lambda Delta, Student Senate, and as a Sunday School Teacher at Eastview. She loves eating out at new and interesting restaurants, going on bike rides, and working with preschoolers.
Jazmyn's advice for new students:
TRY IT ALL!! College is one of the last times you will get the chance to have literally every experience and opportunity at your fingertips. Want to try acting even though you never did it in high school? Go for it! Think you might like learning Japanese? Try it! Once you graduate, these types of experiences are harder to come by and even harder to find time for. Use every spare hour of college to do everything you wanted to do in high school and everything you want to do before you become a boring old grown-up.
