Major: Economics and Sociology
Elizabeth came to Illinois Wesleyan from Bloomingdale, IL, where she attended Lake Park High School. In high school, she knew she wanted to attend a small liberal arts school. However, the Bloomington-Normal community and the beautiful campus set Illinois Wesleyan apart from similar schools. On her official visit, it was clear that IWU students balanced academics and social activities well. Now entering her third year of college, Elizabeth has never regretted attending IWU. She is an Economics tutor on campus and also babysits for local families.
Elizabeth is the current Vice President Member Development for the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, a member of Alpha Phi Omega (service fraternity), and Omicron Delta Epsilon (Economics honor society). In the past, she was a radio DJ for WESN and participated in an Alternative Spring Break trip. Fusion Brew is one of her favorite places off campus to relax during a busy week, but staying involved in her sorority and other organizations is enjoyable and keeps her grounded. Elizabeth's favorite memory of Turning Titan Orientation is meeting her roommate! They are still best friends today. Orientation week would not have been the same without her.
Elizabeth's advice for new students:
Don't worry if you don't know tons of IWU students at first. You will soon find some of the greatest people out there.
