School of Nursing

| If you enroll in the School of Nursing at Illinois Wesleyan University, you are a student of the university who happens to be majoring in nursing. In the program of study over four years, once the first year is completed, you will notice that in every semester, you are taking not only nursing courses, but also courses in the liberal arts. It is a very strong philosophy of the School of Nursing that you will blend the liberal arts with this professional program. A recent graduate comments: "Deciding which college to attend is a huge choice for any student to make. Four years later, I am eternally grateful that I chose Illinois Wesleyan University's School of Nursing because it made me the nurse that I am proud to be today." Jane Leach, '11 Admissions for nursing students at Illinois Wesleyan is unlike many universities. First-year students have direct admission to the School of Nursing. Once enrolled, no further application is necessary. Either the IWU application form or the Common Application with IWU supplement may be used. There is not a separate nursing application. |
