BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— On Sunday, September 29, the School of Music Wind Ensemble will present a concert at Westbrook Auditorium, Presser Hall (1210 Park St., Bloomington) at 3 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
Conducted by Steven W. Eggleston, professor of music, the program will include “Overture to ‘Candide’” by Leonard Bernstein and transcribed by Clare Grundman, “Rhosymedre” by Ralph Vaughn Williams and arranged by Walter Beeler, “Salvation is Created” by Pavel Tschesnokoff and arranged by Bruce H. Houseknecht, “First Suite in E flat” by Gustav Holst and edited by Colin Matthews, “Tunbridge Fair” by Walter Piston, “Suite of Old American Dances” by Robert Russell Bennett and “Dance of the Jesters” by Peter Tchaikovsky, translated by Ray E. Cramer.
