Illinois Wesleyan Civic Orchestra Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.—The Illinois Wesleyan University Civic Orchestra will perform a concert on Friday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (600 N. East St., Bloomington).

General admission costs $10 and $2 for non-IWU students. Senior citizens and IWU alumni will receive a $5 discount off the general admission price. Current IWU students and faculty will receive free admission.

Professor of Music Steve W. Eggleston, will conduct the orchestra and the program will include “Symphony No. 5, op. 67” by Ludwig van Beethoven, “American Salute” by Morton Gould and “An American in Paris” by George Gershwin.

The orchestra, which was founded in 1984 by Eggleston, has performed with many esteemed soloists and is made up of students from all disciplines.
