BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— Colleen Kannaday, president of Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Bloomington and Advocate Eureka Hospital in Eureka, Ill., will address the Illinois Wesleyan Associates on Wednesday, April 17 at noon. The event, which is available via reservation to members of the Associates, will be held in the IWU Shirk Center Performance Gym (302 E. Emerson St., Bloomington).
Founded in 1953 by co-chairmen Adlai H. Rust and Clarence W. Heyl, the Associates consist of business and professional leaders interested in the advancement and support of private higher education.
Named to her current positions in 2010, Kannaday is also responsible for the oversight of a multi-specialty medical group, home health and hospice services and physician provider network. With nearly 20 years of experience as an executive health care leader, she is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and has served on the ACHE Regents Advisory Council.
Kannaday has a master’s degree in health administration from St. Louis University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, Calif. She has served on the boards and committees for the Illinois Hospital Association and the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council, as well as the boards of several community organizations including the Chicago Metropolitan Heart Association.
